Leather Respirator, Tutorial & PDF pattern
This is our take on a respirator. We tried several patterns and put hundreds of hours in developing this marvelous object.
Materials:
Vegtan leather - 2.2 mm-2.4 mm
Accessories, other materials & equipment:
brass flanged backnut reducing hex nipple
1/2 3/4 3/4 3/4 female thread coupling brass
3/4 hex plug
m3 brass acorn nut filet
m3 flat head brass screw
patina for ageing brass and copper
3 mm drill bit for metal
4.2 mm drill bit for metal
nylon fiber wheel for polishing
counter sink bit
40 grit grinder Dremel with 40-60 sandpaper grit
This leather respirator is a nice addition to a cosplay costume in this times of hardship and it is perfect for film and music industry prop, steampunk, Halloween, dystopia and post-apocalyptic parties.
