Leather Backpack PDF Pattern & Tutorial
This backpack is big enough to fit a laptop. It is a nice, casual backpack with high versatility.It isn’t a hard project, it will just take some time since the backpack is quite big.
You will need the most basic leatherworking tools: something to cut, a hollow punch, needles, thread and not much else.
Size: 40/30/12cm or 15,8/11,8/4,7 inch
The materials I used for this pattern tutorial are around 1 sqm of oil-tanned leather 2.4-2.6 mm and around 0.3 sqm for the contrast leather, 4-4.5 mm veg-tan. Be sure to have the length for the straps.
Roling buckles: 1 x 20mm, 4 x 25 mm
D-Rings: 2 x 25mm
1 mm waxed thread
Fenice's edge paint
Tools: 18 mm Olfa cutter, 1.5 mm hollow punch, 1 mm waxed thread, steel ruler, steel compass, leatherwork brush.
The pattern is for A4 size paper.
