Alice Crossbody Purse Bag, PDF Pattern & Video
This is a detailed tutorial and a pattern for making the The Alice purse leather bag, a small everyday crossbody featuring a front pocket, an inside sleeve and an adjustable shoulder strap. It is roomy and can accommodate everyday essentials: a phone, a tablet, a long a wallet make-up, keys etc.

SIZEBAG
TALL: 7" (18 cm)
WIDE: 9 1/2" (24 cm)
DEEP: 2 1/4" (6 cm)
Inside sleeve: 6/7" (15/24 cm)
Shoulder strap (longest strap): 43" (110 cm)
Front Pocket
TALL: 5 1/2" (14 cm)
WIDE: 7" (18 cm)
DEEP: 3/4" (2 cm)
MATERIALS
- BODY: 6 oz (2.4 mm) vegetable tanned leather. You can make at least two bags from 11 sqf (1 sqm).
LINING: pigskin leather (0.6-1 mm) (OPTIONAL)
- SHOULDER STRAP: 9-9.5 oz (3.6-38 mm) vegetable tanned leather. You need a piece of at least 43" (110 cm) for the longest shoulder strap.
- 1 mm waxed polyester thread
- leather glue
- edge dye
HARDWARE
- 1 x 1" (25 mm) buckle
- 1 x 3/4" (20 mm) buckle
- 2 x 3/4" (20 mm) D rings
- 1 x magnetic clasp
TOOLS
- cutter
- needles
- 1.5 mm hole punch
- cutting mat
- mallet
