that will walk you through the process of making a steampunk leather bandolier.
The bandoleer contains three 4 pouches and one hip bag, which are all detachable and can be used separately on a belt or any similar strap on a backpack. This chest belt can be used also as a festival chest belt as it has a lot of room for small and bigger items. It is lightweight and roomy.

I made it in two colors, but it is up to you how you combine the leather. I used vegetable tanned leather hand dyed with a technique

MATERIALS
POUCHES: Around 6.5 sq ft (0.6 sqm) 6 oz 2.4 mm leather CHEST BELT and CONTRAST LEATHER: Around 5.4 sq ft (0.5 sqm) 9 oz (3.5 mm) leather. Take into consideration the length of the chest belt and cut them fist (longest strap is up to 30" (75 cm) long) leather glue 1 mm waxed polyester thread dye (optional) edge dye paper masking tape (for assembling the pattern)

A cutter, round hole punch, hand stitching needles, rubber mallet and cutting pad. No sewing machine required — all our bags are hand stitched.
Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
