- BODY: 6 oz (2.4 mm) vegtan leather. You need almost 11 sqf (1 sqm) for making one bag.
- CONTRAST LEATHER: 9 oz (3.6 mm) vegtan leather.
- SHOULDER STRAP: 7-8 oz (2.8-3.2 mm) leather. You need a piece of 48" (123 cm) for the longest shoulder strap.

Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
