Valentina Crossbody Bag PDF Patterns and Instructional Video
This package contains two patterns and a detailed instructional video to help you make a crossbody bag in two different ways: I used different materials and different decorative elements, but the bags are essentially the same.
- The first one is from vegetable tanned leather.
- The second one is from a thin leather lined with leather and shoe stiffener (PITEX).
- First you should cut the longest piece: the shoulder strap.
- For the lined one, you should leave a margin of 0.15-0.2" (4-5 mm) around the pattern line of the lined bag because after lining, you will have to recut on the patterns lines for obtaining a sharp edge.

- CONTRAST LEATHER: 6.5-7 oz (2.6-2.8 mm) leather
- SHOULDER STRAP: the longest piece is around 49”(125 cm).

RED LINED BAG
- BODY: around 5.4 sq ft (0.5 sqm) of 2.5-3 oz (1-1.2 mm) leather.
- LINING: around 5.4 sq ft (0.5 sqm) of 2.5 oz (1 mm) leather
- CONTRAST LEATHER: 6-7 oz (2.4-2.8 mm) leather
- SHOULDER STRAP: the longest piece is around 49”(125 cm).

A cutter, round hole punch, hand stitching needles, rubber mallet and cutting pad. No sewing machine required — all our bags are hand stitched.
Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
