I love this bag. It has such a beautiful manly 'classic' look to it. I've made this one as a birthday present for my son as something that will last him forever - and I've no doubt it will, and something he will hopefully cherish as much as I would if someone were to hand make me something so beautiful. (his birthday is not until March so he hasn't seen it yet).
The only flaw I come across while making it, was that it asks for Dees, when they are actually rectangle dees. Small obstacle, but not easily fixed when I need to order them from overseas, then wait - when I'm just busting to finish this beautiful bag. I think it come up fantastic.
The pattern looks great. I have cut the paper out and glued it to cardboard. Ready to start cutting the leather pieces. I was disappointed in the video. There is no audio commentary! I will have to go strictly on the video portion and guess about the things that would have been explained in the audio. That is disappointing.
Really enjoyed making this bag for a family member. Could find the Loxx clasp so I used a favorite of mine. Cheers!

Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
