The Anastasia tote, like other patterns from Vasile & Pavel, is laid out in a very easy to understand format. You print the template, tape it up and go to work. All of the stitch holes, cuts, etc clearly noted. I have had so much success with all of their patterns. This one is no different.
I’ve enjoyed all my patterns from Vasile and Pavel. I’m no pro leather worker but the ease of their patterns and well made instructional videos make each pattern possible for a relative newbie like myself.
This is a nice pattern. I didn't even have it finished and had 2 people wanting it. What I didn’t care for is the opening on the ends. The zipper closes the bag but. There are opening at the ends. I made my own pieces a sew them closed. Not the easiest sewing after the zipper is in.

A cutter, round hole punch, hand stitching needles, rubber mallet and cutting pad. No sewing machine required — all our bags are hand stitched.
Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level — Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
