The final result turned out nice, but the leather thickness choice you make for the front and back panel, along with the tight access, can make stitching very difficult, especially in getting the panels perfectly lined up. Take care and prepare for a long stitching time.

The Marilyn handbag closes with zipper and has an adjustable shoulder strap.
You will find a list of materials, hardware and tools in the PDF pattern file. There is also a link to the video instructions.

DEEP: 2 3/4-4 3/4" (7-12 cm)
HANDLE DROP: 5 1/2" (14 cm)
SHOULDER STRAP: 34" (87 cm)
MATERIALS
- BODY: 4.5-5 oz (1.8-2 mm) leather. You can make two bags from 11 sqf (1 sqm). You need a piece of 34-2.1/4" (87/5.5 cm) for the shoulder strap.
- SHOULDER STRAP: 7-8 oz (2.8-3.2 mm) leather.
- 40" (1 m) of 5/16" (7.5 mm) cording for handles
- 1 mm waxed polyester thread
- leather glue
- edge dye
HARDWARE
- 1 x 12" (30 cm) zipper
- 2 x 3/4" (20 mm) D rings
- 2 x 3/4" (20 mm) swivel snap hook
TOOLS
- cutter
- needles
- 1/16" (1.5 mm) hole punch
