Great pattern

Once again, a great pattern from V&P. A very nice style of bag, just the right size. Quality as always.

Eleanor Satchel Leather Bag Pattern, PDF, Video Tutorial & DXF File

A classic leather satchel pattern with PDF, DXF files, and a step-by-step video tutorial. Make your own timeless crossbody shoulder bag with a structured body, front straps, magnetic closures, and vintage-inspired details.

The Eleanor Satchel is a classic leather bag pattern designed for makers who appreciate timeless style, traditional craftsmanship, and practical everyday carry.

Inspired by vintage school satchels and heritage leather goods, this design features a structured body, front buckle straps, magnetic closures, an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and an adjustable shoulder strap.

This pattern is ideal for leatherworkers who want to create a refined handmade satchel with an elegant, old-fashioned character.

This is a digital leather pattern, not a finished physical bag.

Who is this for?

If you've made a card holder, a belt, or a small pouch, this is a natural next step and you'll handle it with no problem.

If this is your first serious leather project, the video tutorial covers every technique you need. We don't assume you know how to skive or saddle stitch. We show you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell items I make using this pattern?
Yes — you can sell the finished rolls you make. You cannot resell or redistribute the pattern files themselves.

What format is the PDF?
Standard A4 and US Letter. Print at 100% — no "fit to page". The pieces are full size.

What software do I need for the DXF?
Any vector software works — LightBurn, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, AutoCAD. Message us if you're unsure.

I'm a complete beginner. Can I still do this?
Yes. The video is detailed enough for someone who has never made a bag before. Go slowly, watch twice where needed, and you'll get there.

All files are for personal use only. Redistribution and resale of the pattern files is not permitted.
