This package contains the PDF pattern for the bag, STL files for the 3D printed molds and a detailed tutorial for how to make the Ella vintage leather handbag with molded gussets. It is a medium size everyday crossbody featuring a handle and an adjustable strap. It is roomy and can accommodate everyday essentials: a phone, a tablet, a long a wallet make-up, keys etc. The bag is made with 3D printed molds for gussets.

💡 You can make the Ella vintage bag with normal gussets as well. The patterns for the gussets are attached.
💡 This project requires 6 oz (2.4 mm) leather. The pattern and the molds are designed specifically for this thickness of leather.

MATERIALS
- BODY: 6 oz (2.4 mm) vegetable tanned leather. You can make at least 3 bags from 11 sqf (1 sqm).
💡 This project requires 6 oz (2.4 mm) leather. The pattern and the molds are designed specifically for this thickness of leather.
*** We recommend vegetable tanned leather as it is best suitable for molding.
- HANDLE: 10 oz (4 mm) vegetable tanned leather
- SHOULDER STRAP: 6 oz (2.5 mm) vegetable tanned leather. You need a piece of 51" (130 cm) for the longest shoulder strap.
- 1 mm waxed polyester thread
- leather glue
- edge dye (optional)
HARDWARE
- 1 x 1 3/16" (30 mm) buckle
- 2 x 3/4" (20 mm) D rings
- 2 x 3/4" (20 mm) swivel hooks
- 1 x magnetic clasp
TOOLS
- cutter
- needles
- 1.5 mm hole punch
- cutting mat
- mallet
- 3 D printer
💡 The STL files are for 6 oz (2.4 mm) leather.
You can also buy the physical mold from us in case you do not have (access to) a printer. Please send me a message to agree on a processing time.
💡 If you intend to reuse the mold for many projects, I recommend printing at 70-90% infill.
💡 If you want to use it for a project, we recommend still going for at least 25% infill + 8 layers thickness for the walls.
⚠️ Protect the mold when using it with woodworking clamps. Please check the video tutorial.

💡 The STL files are archived. You can use WinRAR (https://www.win-rar.com/) for PC or WinZip (https://www.winzip.com/mac/en/rar-for-mac.html) for Mac to extract the files.
