PDF + DXF + Video for Bumblebee Scooter Rack Bag

Some bags are made to carry things. This one is made to travel with the machine.

Plastic boxes look out of place. Canvas bags sag. Nylon luggage never quite belongs on a classic scooter. Leather does. It ages with the ride, holds its shape, protects what you carry, and looks like it was always meant to be there.

This pattern teaches you to build a structured leather scooter rack bag by hand. A compact front rack bag with a rigid body, flap closure, buckle straps, LOXX fasteners, rear mounting straps, side D-rings, and a clean vintage silhouette. The kind of bag that looks just as good on a Vespa-style scooter as it does on the workbench while you're building it.

What's in the pattern

Who is this for?

If you've already made a wallet, belt, pouch, or small leather bag, this is a strong next project. The shape is clean, but the build includes real bag-making techniques: lining, stiffening, skiving, curved gussets, straps, hardware, and precise stitching.

If this is your first structured leather bag, the video tutorial will guide you through the process. Take your time, follow the order of assembly, and check your print scale before cutting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell bags I make using this pattern?
Yes — you can sell the finished leather bags you make. You cannot resell, share, copy, or redistribute the digital pattern files themselves.

What format is the PDF?
The pattern includes A4, US Letter, and A0 formats. Print at 100% — do not use “fit to page”.

What software do I need for the DXF?
Any vector software works — LightBurn, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, AutoCAD, and similar programs.

Is this a finished bag?
No. This is a digital leathercraft pattern. No physical bag, leather, tools, or hardware are included.

Can I mount this on any scooter?
The bag is designed for rack mounting, but rack shapes and scooter models vary. Check the finished bag dimensions and your rack size before making the bag.

Can I make it in different colors?
Yes. The black and yellow version shown is just one option. The pattern works well in classic brown, black, tan, racing colors, or two-tone combinations.
