I made mine out of water buffalo leather and changed a couple small things here and there, but wow, what a nice design. It took a long time to make, but it was 100% worth it. I'd love to make another one in cowhide leather and actually put a lining in it and finish the edges properly... one day.
I think I'd replace the side gussets with some extra pockets next time, though. And I might try a different closure for the main flap - I'm too sausage-fingered for buckles.

I like the design of this back pack with the βlidβ like top. Feels like the contents will be kept more secure. And as always Vasil and Pavel are responsive to questions about the patten as evidenced by their sending an update to the pattern based on customer feedback. This is a great pattern and a great pattern supplier.

I have been downloading these patterns and theyβre great. Easy to follow & build. Iβve been giving them away as gifts; recipients love them.
The pattern is nice, maybe it would be better to mark the places where a part of the whole piece should be cut out so that it can be connected to other parts exactly. And one more note, it would be very good if the individual pages were arranged numerically in the pattern. Not like in this pattern, when the pages to be printed do not continue numerically one after the other, but jump, for example, to page 23 and immediately after that to the page marked as 40 and another non-continuous page number.
The patterns are easy to follow and videos are wonderfully done and make the entire process as easy as possible. Thank you!

I really like the V&P how to videos for their patterns. Weather they narrate it them self's or have the computer voice doing the narration there is no confusion during the video. Their construction methods shown in the video are tried and tested threw time and the end product we make fallowing their patterns and instructions also hold up to the test of time.
Classy and use full products that are easy to make and ppl really enjoy receiving when product is delivered.

Each pattern page clearly states the difficulty level β Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. We recommend starting with a Beginner pattern if you are new to leatherwork. For Advanced patterns, prior experience with at least 2-3 bag projects is recommended.
Each pattern includes a full materials list with leather thickness, weight in ounces, and quantity needed. We recommend vegetable tanned leather for best results. Specific recommendations are included in every pattern.
