Toshiro Leather Backpack, PDF Pattern and Video Instructions

Toshiro backpack is made out of vegetable tanned leather lined with stiffeners and pigskin. We used differentiated lining technique for obtaining clean edges and a minimalist look. The backpack is lightweight and sturdy.

- Adjustable shoulder strap (long up to 63” - 160 cm)
- Front pocket
- Side pockets
- Wings for protecting the content of the bag

-Height: 13.4” (34 cm)
-Length: 11.4” (29 cm)
-Width: 4.7” (12 cm)
MATERIALS
- BODY: around 10.8 sq ft (1 sqm) of 4-4.5 oz (1.6-1.8 mm)
- LINING: around 10.8 sq ft (1 sqm) of 2 oz (0.8 mm) pigskin
- LEATHER STIFFENER: around 10.8 sq ft (1 sqm) of PITEX (620) Non-woven leather stiffener or other stiffener for leather bags like Texon
- CONTRAST LEATHER: around 3.3 sq ft (0.3 sqm) 9 oz ( 3.6 mm) leather. The longest piece is 22” (53 cm)
- leather glue
- 1 mm waxed polyester thread
- edge dye
- cardboard and paper masking tape (for assembling the pattern)
HARDWARE
- 3 x 0.79” (20 mm) buckles
- 4 x 0.98” (25 mm) buckles
- 3 Sam Browne studs
- 2 x 0.98” (25 mm) D rings
