Exactly what I needed

We were looking for an attractive way to transport tools to and from Faires, and this will suit nicely! We plan on making a few to organize everything.

Carola Leather Tool Roll Pattern, PDF, Video Tutorial & DXF Files

There's a reason tool rolls are made from leather.

Canvas frays. Plastic cracks. Nylon pouches let your tools knock around and dull each other. Leather wraps your tools the way a good holster wraps a blade, snug, protective, shaped by use over time.

This pattern teaches you to build one by hand. A proper tool roll with ten slots, a zippered pocket, two solid brass buckle straps, and a carry handle. The kind of thing you make once and keep for decades.

What's in the pattern

PDF β€” Full-size templates
Print at home on A4 or US Letter. No scaling, no recalculating. Every piece is labeled and ready to cut.

Video tutorial β€” The complete build, filmed
We built the roll on camera and explained every step. Pause when you need to, rewind, follow along. Cutting, skiving, gluing, punching, stitching, edge finishing β€” all of it.

DXF files β€” For laser cutters and cutting machines
Compatible with LightBurn, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and most vector software.

Digital download β€” available immediately after purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell items I make using this pattern?
Yes β€” you can sell the finished rolls you make. You cannot resell or redistribute the pattern files themselves.

What format is the PDF?
Standard A4 and US Letter. Print at 100% β€” no "fit to page". The pieces are full size.

What software do I need for the DXF?
Any vector software works β€” LightBurn, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, AutoCAD. Message us if you're unsure.

I'm a complete beginner. Can I still do this?
Yes. The video is detailed enough for someone who has never made a bag before. Go slowly, watch twice where needed, and you'll get there.

All files are for personal use only. Redistribution and resale of the pattern files is not permitted.
